Sigh....another beginning to an end. Last night was Senior night for Sarah. We escorted her on to the court and listened to the announcer tell of her future plans. It was surreal to think that at this same time next year, she will be a college freshman...living on her own. Her applications have been filled out and sent in...So now we wait.....Her first choice is UCF. She has also applied to FSU and Uof F....
Unfortunately, the boys "midnight madness" took place on the same evening, so we were unable to attend. It was a night of three point contests, school spirit, and of course, the dunk contest.....You can imagine my surprise and pride when I received a text from Jenna informing me that Dave had won the dunk contest...That's right, our white, freshman, baby boy won....and the winning dunk?? He jumped over Luke and Mark to slam it! Jenna said the crowd went wild....Hate missing stuff like that....October 25th is parents weekend, so we will be heading down to see the boys we have not seen since they left 2 months ago.......The end...for now.

44 bottles of beer on the wall.....

First, thank you dears ones, for all your well wishes on my Birthday. I had a great day, despite what it represented...I was thinking about that song the other day, you know, the beer bottle song...and I realized just how old I really am. Do you remember how quickly you got to 44 bottles from 100?? Not the epiphany I was hoping for..anyhoooo.....Scott, the girls and I, "celebrated" with dinner at a new place called Mongo's. It's Mongolian bbq, and it was delicious, and actually, quite good for you, a big fresh bowl of stir fry. The chocolate peanut butter volcanic explosion ice cream cone that followed...not so much.

On a less self-involved note...how about something subtle like this for jen's birthday :) (double click it to get the full affect)

I highly recommend visiting this photographer's
site....She's amazing.

blah blah...blah-g

That's a more appropriate name for mine....blog sounds too interesting....and mine is anything but....Not going to stop me though...So here's the latest:
Mary got her braces off.....Her teeth look great, and surprise...she's smiling more! Went down to Ikea last weekend. I had a gift card burning a whole in my Swedish pants, so off we went. The girls went too. We dropped them at the Millennium mall where they had some special shopping and bonding time together.....We stopped at Jenna's apt. at UCF to see her "crib" and pass the boys laptop to her, since she was heading down to Webber. The boys couldn't come up because of a practice. They have 3-a-days right now..meaning 3 practices a day....sheesh. Enough Blahging....now for some pics that have no relevance....

Here Comes the Bride....al Show

Well, our first bridal show came...and went, with the help of my dearest Mother. I think it went well. The place was packed, with a steady stream of brides, brides moms, sisters, friends, and occasionally, even a groom. There were over one hundred vendors represented, so you can imagine all that was offered. Everything from DJ's to cruises, airbrush makeup........pretty dresses, ugly dresses...and lots of photographers. Scott did his best to charm prospective clients, and Mom and I did our best to pronounce "spanakopita" correctly, and not drop napkins.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but the flowers were gorgeous! It felt just like Christmas when they arrived! The hydrangea were to die for. The tulips looked good enough to eat and the Calla lilies were perfect. .....I do love flowers. They speak to my soul. They remind me of my creator and what an amazing artist He is. I'm grateful for this opportunity that has been given to me....truly grateful.

The flowers arrive!

live and learn...

I hope "they" were right when they said "practice makes perfect"....let me tell you this, trying something new one time, certainly does not....which is made clear in this pic of my first wedding cake. Oh it faux....and I'm still tweeking it. I plan to put the initials of our company on it.....That sound you heard....wasn't the wind. It was Martha Stewart rolling over in her grave.

Moving Day

Remember when your biggest worry was how to wake up in time to get down to the cafeteria before breakfast is over.....Here are some shots from that world......

It's raining again...and not just a little summer shower...buckets! Did I mention the thunder and lightening? Plenty of that too...On a lighter subject, I found this really cool product for back porches, for all of us who share our inhabitants with mosquitos, but still enjoy the outdoors...Check it out: http://www.mosquitocurtains.com/...... A very inexpensive way to bring the outdoors in.....and cute too!

These are some party "poms" I made. I'm still getting the hang of it..but I think they are so festive and cheery! If they look a little "tired" it's because they hung there all weekend, with kiddos coming in and out....touching, touching, touching.
